'What's Up West Palm Beach' Podcast
What's up West Palm Beach Podcast image
The City of West Palm Beach Department of Communications has joined forces with Alpha Media station 850 WFTL to create the "What's Up West Palm Beach" podcast. This innovative joint media partnership, perhaps the first of its kind in the country, provides West Palm Beach residents, visitors and anyone with an interest in the City with another option to obtain the newest information from the City. Hosted by award winning local news anchor Karen Curtis, "What's Up West Palm Beach" will explore key City issues and provide residents with important information about public services, events, and issues. Given studies showing that at least 1 in 5 people listen to podcasts at least occasionally and that podcast listeners tend to stay tuned in longer than with other types of content, West Palm Beach sees this partnership as a valuable way to inform and engage with the public.

The podcast is recorded at the 850 WFTL studio in West Palm Beach at least twice a month, and listeners can tune in to to the podcast by visiting the City's website (see links to podcasts below) and 850 WFTL's website (850wftl.com) . 850 WFTL will also feature elements of the "What's Up West Palm" podcast during its radio news programming. The City thanks Alpha Media and radio station 850 WFTL for its generous support of this podcasting initiative and the City!
