WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (January 4, 2019) --
As evidence of the City of West Palm Beach’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer service that enhances quality of life, City of West Palm Beach Chief Building Inspector, Ken Conrad, was awarded the Inspector of the Year award by the Building Officials Association of
Palm Beach County (BOAPBC).
Conrad, who works in the City of West Palm Beach Development Services Department, received this recognition for providing the development community with exemplary service. He is responsible for supervising the City’s team of building inspectors and, also, performs inspections himself. He has been delegated with the authority to represent the City’s Building Official in working with special inspectors on threshold building projects and working with resident inspectors.

City of West Palm Beach customers regularly commend him on his knowledge and helpful approach. As the chief, Conrad has shared his knowledge with the City’s building inspectors and has efficiently managed inspections.
“In the face of a very heavy work load Ken has a great approach to his job and has a positive impact on his coworkers, the development community, and their many projects,” said Robert Brown, City of West Palm Beach Building Official and Building Division Manager. “We are very fortunate to have Ken as an employee at the City.”
Conrad has been an employee of the City since 2001.
