WEST PALM BEACH POLICE INTRODUCES CITIZEN & BUSINESS CAMERA REGISTRATION PROGRAM
The West Palm Beach Police Department announces the creation of the Citizen and Business Camera Registration Program.
WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA (November 13, 2018) -- The West Palm Beach Police Department
announces the creation of the Citizen and Business Camera Registration Program.
In an effort to deter crime and promote public safety, the West Palm Beach Police Department has
established a program asking citizens and businesses to register their security cameras to aid in
investigative efforts to keep neighborhoods safe.

Integrating the citizen and business cameras into the Real Time Crime Center will help detectives verify
information quickly used in conjunction with Shot Spotter and license plate readers,

To participate in the free program, information can be entered online via the police department's secure
web page and is kept confidential. As part of our Real Time Crime Center, registering the cameras allows
department personnel to know in advance where private security cameras are located, which can assist
in evidence gathering during criminal investigations, missing persons investigations, or other activity
requiring a police response.

Additional information about the camera registration program can be found at:
