Questions

FL Business License
Contact: Employers Choice Online Inc.
Greetings, Will the City of West Palm beach accept a valid business license to be provided once the intent to award is issued (within 10 business days) instead of at the time of bid. We currently do business with several cities and agencies in FL who have not required a business license in FL because our company is out of state and does not perform actual work in FL since orders are processed and ordered online.
Additional fees
Contact: Employers Choice Online Inc.
Greetings, How does the City of West Palm Beach currently handle additional court, state, and third party fees since they do not apply to each order. In reviewing the current contract with Screening one, is the city currently paying third party fees (Work Number and Student Clearinghouse Fees) for the employment and education separate to the search fee? For driving records, i see a unit price, is the FL state Fee ($8.00) billed separate as well? In regards to the Criminal records, are you getting specific records from the FDLE paying the $24.00 FL state Fee, or are you only getting FL state records from the nationwide database which includes FL Dept of corrections and several but not all FL counties? Suwannee and Taylor have additional county fees.

Homeland Security Clearance
Contact: Cynthia Woods
In Section 3 Scope of Services, Item 13, there is a requirement for the awarded firm to provide Homeland Security Clearance directly through Homeland Security Office. In researching this request, it appears this can be a very lengthy process (up to 3 months) and there is no indication they will allow a CRA to submit this request. Please provide further details concerning this request - exactly what items you would like checked and any other information you can provide to assist with clarification. Thank you!
Current Contractor
Contact: Inquiries Screening
Who is the current contractor preforming the Employment Screening Services?
Annual Expenditure
Contact: Inquiries Screening
What is the annual expenditure for this contract?
Current Pricing
Contact: Inquiries Screening
What is your current pricing for these services?
License
Contact: Inquiries Screening
Inquiries has all required licenses necessary to conduct the services required by the City. Our business licenses allow our company to provide services nationwide. If we hold the required licenses to perform work but not a specific license in Florida (not necessary to perform these functions), would this be acceptable?
Criminal convictions
Contact: Castle Branch, Inc.
Can you please further clarify what the City means by "criminal convictions"? a. For federal, are you looking for a nationwide federal criminal search? b. For civil, are you looking for individual county civil searches or a nationwide federal civil search? c. For criminal, are you looking for a 7-year county criminal on all addresses that are disclosed by the applicant and found on a residency history report? Are you also looking for a national record database as a supplemental search? d. Are you looking for maiden and alias names? If yes, on which searches?
Scope
Contact: Castle Branch, Inc.
You require criminal checks to go back up to 10 years. The standard scope is 7 years per the Federal Credit Reporting Act; you must have a permissible purpose for a 10-year scope. Will you be able to give a permissible purpose as required for a 10-year scope under the FCRA?
