Summer @your City Library begins June 11
Reading incentives, new programs and free lunches!
Summer Reading Program
Kids and teens can read for exciting prizes! By keeping a reading log with the recommended reading times, kids and teens will receive a free best-selling book each week and be entered into a weekly gift card drawing.
Adults can also get in on summer reading and enter for their own weekly gift card prizes!
Free Meals for Kids & Teens
The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach, in partnership with the School District of Palm Beach County, is bringing back free meals for kids and teens when school lunches are not available. During the summer the library becomes an official Summer BreakSpot and offers FREE nutritious lunches and snacks during their summer program to kids and teens ages 18 and under. The free meals and snacks will begin on June 5th.
The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach will also offer dozens of popular and new activities and programs to engage kids, teens and adults. There are endless areas to explore including art, fitness, science, dance, technology, music, history, and more.
Free E-Books, Music & Movies at Home or on the Road
The library provides free access to thousands of e-books, movies, music and much more that can be checked out digitally. Using the library’s hoopla and cloudLibrary apps, cardholders can access materials 24/7 on their desktop, mobile devices, or TV. Best of all, all items checked out will be automatically returned…that means no late fees!
The Summer@yourCityLibrary program is made possible with the generous support of the West Palm Beach Library Foundation, the FRIENDS of the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach, and a grant from the Morse Hill Foundation.
