Are you ready to buy a house?
Home Purchase Assistance
can help you!

Welcome to the City's Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). HCD strives to improve the quality of life of City residents through the development of housing, social, and economic opportunities.

SHIP Local Housing Assistance Plan now available!
The State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program is a State of Florida entitlement grant program that provides these funds to local governments to produce and preserve housing opportunities to serve very low to moderate income families.  To be eligible for SHIP funds the City must prepare a Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) outlining its strategy for the use of the funds and submit the Plan to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation for review and approval by May 2, 2018. The Housing and Community Development Department has prepared a three-year Local Housing Assistance Plan for program years 2018-2019, 2019-2020, and 2020-2021. Citizens are encouraged to comment on the LHAP by submitting written comments to:

Jennifer Ferriol, HCD Program Manager
City of West Palm Beach
